Holiday Cottages on the Shores of Cardigan Bay
Cardigan Bay is one of the most spectacular stretches of coastline in Wales — a sweeping arc of sandy beaches, dramatic mountain backdrops, and some of the clearest waters on the British coastline. Finding a genuinely beachfront cottage here, with uninterrupted sea views and direct access to the beach, is rare. Four Degrees West and Venedotia sit directly on the seafront at Tywyn, with the bay laid out in front of you from every room.
Tywyn sits at the southern edge of Snowdonia (Eryri), where the mountains of Cadair Idris meet the coast. The promenade runs directly in front of both properties, with miles of sandy beach accessible through your private gate. On clear days the views stretch across the full sweep of Cardigan Bay — from the Llŷn Peninsula in the north to Aberystwyth in the south.
Why Book a Beachfront Cottage on Cardigan Bay?
Most "sea view" accommodation in Wales means a distant glimpse from an upstairs window. Our cottages are genuinely beachfront — the beach is steps from your door, not a drive away. Wake up to the sound of waves, watch the tide come in from your balcony, and walk straight onto the sand before breakfast.
Cardigan Bay is also home to the largest population of bottlenose dolphins in the UK, and boat trips from nearby Aberdyfi regularly spot them in the bay. Add the steam trains of the Talyllyn Railway departing from Tywyn Wharf, and the mountains of Snowdonia National Park within 20 minutes, and you have one of the most well-rounded holiday destinations in Wales.
Self-Catering on the Cardigan Bay Coast
Both cottages are fully equipped for self-catering — high-specification kitchens, fast WiFi, smart TVs, and everything you need for a week or more on the Mid-Wales coast. They're pet-free, family-friendly, and designed for guests who want quality rather than compromise. All bookings are direct — no agency fees, no hidden charges.
